You have to ask yourself one simple question about our political system today. Do you want money corrupting our politicians or not? If you think the corrupting influence of money needs to be ripped out of our political system by the root, then you should start following and supporting a group called End Citizens United.
This group of dedicated workers is taking aim at Citizens United. Five conservative Supreme Court justices simply decided that corporations are people with First Amendment rights. One of the Democratic justices wrote in his dissent that the decision has the ability to destroy democracy as we know it.
End Citizens United wants to dismantle the decision which allows corporations to spend unlimited amounts of dark money to influence elections across the country. There’s absolutely no way that the interests of large corporations align with the interests of the people in any corner of America. Corporations can’t get sick, bleed or die, so they shouldn’t be able to influence our democracy.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to support Beto O’Rourke in his fight against Ted Cruz for Senate in Texas. End Citizens United is there on the ground to help the Democratic congressman from El Paso defeat the longtime incumbent blobfish. The differences between the two men couldn’t be more striking. For more information connect with End Citizens United on Twitter.
First of all, Ted Cruz was born in Canada. Secondly, the Republican senator takes incredible amounts of money from large corporations. O’Rourke, on the other hand, takes absolutely zero donations from corporations and only solicits money from individual donors. Who do you think these two men will fight for in Washington?
This election in Texas is a bellwether for money in politics. End Citizens United is helping O’Rourke with his financial operations by tapping into grassroots fundraising. Ted Cruz, on the other hand, is taking massive handouts from corporations while President Donald Trump, a man who once called Ted Cruz feckless, is planned to hold a rally in Texas for the incumbent. It seems that the establishment right-wingers are afraid of Beto O’Rourke, End Citizens United and common sense prevailing in the Lone Star State.
The growth of the End Citizens United PAC has been one which has grown in stature over the course of the last three years since it was established in 2015 under the leadership of President Tiffany Muller.
The overall aim of End Citizens United is to overturn the divisive Citizens United decision of the Supreme Court in 2010; End Citizens United has been fighting to achieve this aim from its base in Washington D.C. by backing Democrats friendly to their cause during elections from 2016 onwards.
Making an almost instant impact on the U.S. political landscape can be hard to do but End Citizens United was providing support for the campaign of Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election and has continued to build support among established Democrats over the last few years. The 2018 Midterms are the latest test of the skills of End Citizens United as they have been building a growing list of members to donate and support the cause of protecting election finance regulations and enacting reform in terms of Super PACs and “mega-donors”.

Building a campaign for the 2018 Midterms has been a mission of End Citizens United for a number of months and the first news of this was released to the public around Thanksgiving in 2017. The release of the “Big Money 20” list by End Citizens United marked the start of the 2018 Midterm election campaigning season as the Republicans accepting the most funding from special interest groups were targeted by the traditional PAC to be unseated during the coming elections.
The “Big Money 20” list revealed by Tiffany Muller has been trimmed over the course of the campaign to become only 15 as a number of Republicans have dropped out of the race for reelection when faced with the problem of their dark money links being revealed. The decision by House Speaker Paul Ryan to retire from politics has come at a time when the growing issues of special interest groups and universal healthcare have come to the fore; Tiffany Muller was quick to explain the issue of lost healthcare for millions of Americans will be part of the legacy of Ryan as one of the leaders of the Republican Party.

The last election was one of the most eventful in the history of the country. The most shocking part was the fact that a candidate who no one imagined could win the race made it to the White House. It has mainly been seen to be the result of the introduction of the super PACs and their money into the local political scene.
The End Citizens United is a group that has been working relentlessly to make sure that some sanity is restored to the political scene. The team supported some candidates who are affiliated with the Democratic Party. Now that the elections are over, the group is trying to ensure that the laws are changed so that dirty money can stop finding its way into politics.
The law that they are looking to amend is the Citizens United Act which allowed big corporations to be treated as individuals in politics and to make their contributions to politics just like a single person can. This has resulted in organizations such as the Koch brothers getting their way into the politics of the day, which is ruining the sanctity of the votes for the ordinary citizen according to wikipedia.org. The group has managed to raise a lot of money to help with their campaign. They have confided that in this quarter alone, they were able to collect more money than they did in the whole of the time that they have been operational.

They have also started collecting the signatures which they need to the petition. So far, they have managed more than quarter of a million signatures. A while back, they were allowed to collaborate with the ‘ready for Hillary’ movement in a move that was seen as an attempt to get more signatures for the petition at the Supreme Court. They hope that they will get the SC to listen to their case and make a change that has not been affected in the country since the early 90’s.
In addition to creating awareness about the problems with the systems as they are, the group aims to help the Liberals to make a comeback in the 2018 Mid Terms. To make this possible, they are collecting funds and making sure that their candidates are ready for the election. The group says that they understand how ambitious their dream is, but they are determined to give the constitutional amendment push their best attempt.

Thor Halvorssen is the founder of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) and is an avowed and dedicated human rights activist. He has come out in opposition to the socialist governments in Venezuela and Cuba and as such became an advocate for the right-leaning Weekly Standard and Fox News. But Halvorssen has an individualistic mindset concerning whoever is committing human rights violations. Recently interviewed by a Fox News commentator who wanted to do a hatchet job on Bernie Sanders because of his socialistic leanings, Fox News was shocked when Halvorssen not only was in agreement with Sanders’ socialist value system but was an avid supporter of the candidate having given Sanders the largest donation allowable by law.
The Weekly Standard wanted to know more about this unique advocate for human rights and sent a writer to do an in-depth study.
The writer discovered that Thor Halvorssen began life surrounded by extreme wealth. His home in Venezuela came equipped with a sauna, pool, library, billiard room and a servant’s wing for a staff that included a driver, bodyguard, gardener, butler, cook, and governess. His parents instilled in him a sense of extending family status to the staff.
Halvorssen rejects the conservative label applied to him by many and claims to be a classic liberal in the John Stuart Mill mold. He is an equal opportunity activist attacking target on both sides of the political spectrum.
He was sent to an English boarding school where he first encountered and then overcame bullying.
After beginning his foundation, Halvorssen appointed Vaclav Havel as the chairman of HRF, who served until his death in 2011 at which time Halvorssen selected the Russian chess grandmaster and political activist strongly opposed to Vladimir Putin, Garry Kasparov as foundation chairman. Kasparov protested the imprisonment of the band, Pussy Riot, and was carried off and assaulted by the Russian police. Pussy Riot was convicted of the crime of singing an anti-Putin song, and the band was sentenced to serve two years behind bars.
Thor Halvorssen is a unique humanitarian who serves to advance the human condition against any repressive political system anywhere in the world.
